Thick Green Smoothie
I have this for breakfast each morning. It gives me a jump start and I don't feel like I "need" my morning coffee anymore. There is so much goodness in this smoothie. Each day you can use different fruits so you don't get bored. I only ever use fresh fruit. Never tinned or preserved fruit or bought juices.
1 cup of ice blocks, 1 kiwi fruit, 1 large banana, a handful of berries (fresh or frozen), teaspoon of chia seeds, 2 tablespoons of natural whey protein, 1 cup of spinach or kale, 1/2 cup of fresh mango, 2 tablespoons natural low fat greek yoghurt, handful of mint, a wedge of lemon (skin off), six raw almonds, 1 cup of water (use milk instead if you like)
Blend for 2-3 minutes. The more you blend the thicker it becomes. Once you try this, you'll wonder why you ever had cereal.
