A simple bowl of fruit and full fat yoghurt and I am one happy girl. This is now one of my staple post workout snacks because it is full of protein and carbohydrates. So healthy yet I feel like it is a treat. To this bowl I have added full fat greek yoghurt, chia seeds, almonds, fresh strawberries, frozen pomegranate seeds (from our very own garden) and cinnamon. The pomegranate are so beautiful in colour and are also filled with Vitamin C.
If you're lucky enough to have a tree and have an abundance you cannot get through. Taking the time to knock the seeds out and freeze them is well worthwhile. They are great in salads and for topping yoghurt bowls, fruit salads, cheesecakes, cakes, raw desserts, cocktails, serving on top of curries. List goes on. The colour and effect it has on the visual of a dish is amazing too.
